I Don't Understand

"I don't understand" is stagnant. It doesn't move us any closer to understanding, but rather, keeps us stuck in a state of not understanding and invites more of the same.

"I would like to understand" has movement and momentum. It's an invitation for growth and expansion.

"I don't understand" has us standing at the door utterly bewildered.

"I would like to understand" gently knocks.

It's a small adjustment with a big benefit that we can make in our thinking and in our speech.
